It offers the most conducive environment for fostering the growth of Automobile and Mobility startups and is dedicated towards driving the Indian Mobility space towards a more innovative future.
Driven by Maruti Suzuki, India’s No. 1 Automobile Brand and powered by most prominent Indo-Japanese seed fund and co-creation center, GHV Accelerator, MAIL or Mobility & Automobile Innovation Lab, is an initiative to find technology driven, innovative and cutting edge digital solutions in the mobility & automobile space, which are futuristic and customer-oriented.Maruti Suzuki MAIL seeks to create an ecosystem in India, which will provide the foundation for talent to thrive and make Innovation, a way of thinking. 01Startups have to apply and register their organisations/ideas for our Maruti Suzuki Accelerator Program. Post this, the applications are screened for the next round.

04Participating startups can pitch and present their ideas to industry experts, helping nurture tie-ups with top brands for funding, and so on.

Selection and Onboarding
02After screening, startups with feasible, cost-effective and unique ideas will be selected for the program.

Cohort Winners Announcement
05At the end, the winning startups would get an opportunity to do a Paid Proof of Concept (PoC) with Maruti Suzuki.

What is the aim of Maruti Suzuki Accelerator Program?
Maruti Suzuki Accelerator Program is a unique program that focuses on the growth trajectory of technology-backed startups operating in mobility and automotive space. It provides a platform as well as an ideal environment to effect digital innovations, all the while extending mentorship and support that will accelerate their growth.

Who can apply for Maruti Suzuki Accelerator Program?
Any startup with ideas that are innovative and cost-effective can apply for the Maruti Suzuki Accelerator Program. However, the applications go through a screening process and the ones that best fit the bill are shortlisted. Refer Focus Areas section for more details.

How long is the program?
The duration of program is approximately 4 months.

How does the application process work?
The application process starts with filling out the Online Application Form (Under the Apply Now section in the Accelerator Program for the Maruti Suzuki Innovation website). In the online application, you will need to introduce your product, the market you are operating in, your team, your business model, traction and roadmap to give us an adequate overview of your startup. Also, you might be asked about your potential use case with Maruti Suzuki. After the application is submitted, the Maruti Suzuki Innovation team screens and evaluates your application.

How detailed should my application be?
Your application should be as detailed as needed for an outsider to understand your business concept and market opportunity, presented in form of a business plan. As evaluators, we love data and make decisions on growth KPIs. Regarding your application, we take decisions based on the information in the application form, pitch deck or videos provided by you.

When will I get a reply?
The shortlisted candidates will be contacted once the applications are opened for the next Cohort.
7.
Can we still apply, if we have received prior funding?
Yes, of course. Please include details regarding past rounds of financing in your application.
8.
Do you only foster Automobile startups?
No. Maruti Suzuki Accelerator Program also supports startups with technologies, solutions or services that might be used in mobility & automobile space. Please mention in your application, on how you think your startup could contribute to this area.
9.
Do we have to be Indian Citizens?
No. But the startup should be registered under the INDIAN jurisdiction.
10.
Can I re-apply for the future cohorts, if not selected in a single cohort?
Yes, of course. Please include details regarding past rounds of participation into your application.
11.
Can a not-for-profit startup apply?
Yes, of course. Please mention in your application, how your startup can create a significant social impact.
12.
What is the cost of joining Maruti Suzuki Accelerator Program?
For Startups, participation in Maruti Suzuki Accelerator Program is free. Maruti Suzuki does not take any equity from the ventures, which are part of this program.
